Reunion Weekend

I know it’s incredibly cliché but the saying “You never know what you’ve got til it’s gone” is so incredibly true. Since I’ve been back from Egypt, I have visited my alma mater three times. Now granted I had loads of fun the first two times, but this last time totally topped them. It was a pseudo reunion with some of my best friends. Honestly, I can’t even call these people friends cause they are my family - tho’ some family members are committing incest ;-)

The adventure started Thursday night rushing to get to Oxford after picking up Tiffany from the airport in Chicago and lasted until we sadly said good-bye to everyone Sunday morning. The weekend was full of laughter and tears. It contained little sleep, lots of random conversations, reminiscing (“Remember that time freshman year…), spending way too much money, seeing Louis perform, diner clubbin’ and sexual aerobic videos, the streets of Cincy, a friends graduation (congrats again Bert), good food and a few trips to CVS.

Oh and did I mention a crap load of pics!

I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy and content to crash in a messy yet empty apartment before. But it’s always the people that make the moments special. It’s crazy cause I have a harder time being apart from these people more now that I’m only a short drive or flight away than when there was an ocean separating us.

I think it’s definitely a motivator for my need to be away a lot this summer. I foresee a lot of weekend trips in my future.

And for all those in the group that couldn’t make it, we decided to make this an annual thing. Miami Graduation weekend is our official time to get together (tho’ not necessarily in Ox).

Thanks to all the people that made the weekend memorable and special:
Tiffany, Jessica, Elise, Bertranna, Louis, Andrea, Belon, Daney, Felicia
(We always roll deep!)

Movies Galore

One of my favorite things to do in the summer time is to go to the movies. And when big movies start being released at least once a week I know summer is quickly knocking at my door. I know I was a huge movie person before college but having friends like Carebear and Louis has definitely fueled that love. And after reading an article on the CNN website, I’m even more excited about this year’s movies. Apparently this is the summer of sequels. Between Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek, The Simpson, and Harry Potter, this looks like its gonna be a great movie summer where I spend at least 2 hours a week in an air conditioned theater – well as long as prices don’t go up any higher. There’s also a whole bunch of random movies and/or sequels coming out as well. Here’s a link to the article I read if you wanna learn more yourself. I’m too excited that summer is almost here. That’s when all the fun happens!
